Keepers Cottage is a luxury Bed & Breakfast located on the edge of the village of Thornage and Holt. Our B&B is in the Glaven Valley Conservation area.
The Poppy line with its steam railway at Holt Station and 6 miles from the North Norfolk coast line which features Wells next to Sea, Holkham, Cley, Wiveton and Blakeney.
The House
17th Century Game Keepers Cottage was formally part of the estate of Thornage Hall built in 1482. This 15th Century Hall became the grange to the Bishops of Norwich. After the dissolution of the monasteries King Henry VIII gave the hall to his physician Sir William Butts. Through time the cottage became the game keepers lodgings until the 1950's when the last keeper left. We hope to provide a boutique and posh style B&B in this delightful house.
Amenities
We offer a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. All rooms are serviced daily and refreshed. Multi-channel television on Smart TV's with Netflix available in every room with hairdryers and suitcase stands. We provide complimentary internet access, water, beverages, snacks and toiletries.
Whether this is your first visit or you have been a guest before we want your experience to be excellent. We are always available at the house to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

A minimum of 2 nights stay and 3 on Bank holiday.
We have sleeping facilities for two people per room only and we are not able to accommodate children.
Sorry we cannot accept pets as we have Cats, Sheep and Chickens in permanent residence.
Check-in time is normally from 4pm and no later than 10pm. Please vacate your room between 11:00 and 16:00. We try to be flexible so please let us know your intentions.
Breakfast is served between 8:30am to 10am, other times by special request.
Off road parking is available.
We also do not allow smoking or vaping inside the house. No ‘take away’ meals or hot food allowed in the rooms, snacks are permitted and use of the dining room is fine. There is a lounge section available for your relaxation.

Breakfast is included and is served in our bright garden room and on good summer days tables are available outside.
Service is between 8:30 and 10:00 each morning.
Cereals, Muesli or Granola. Yogurt, mixed Berries and seeds. Together with, of course, a typical English Breakfast from local produce with choices of lighter cooked meals. Various breads, Pancakes, Waffles and Milk Shakes. Croissants and pastries, juices, milk, water, teas, coffees, toast and Jams.

Details of our non pre-packed food stuffs with any of the 14 allergens are available on request. We use products containing allergens in our kitchen and property, we cannot guarantee that there will be no cross contamination.
